Going Green Glog

Going Green Glog!

A glog , or graphic blog, is an electronic poster.  A glog uses text boxes, pictures, video clips, hyperlinks, audio files, and animation to communicate information about a topic.  You will research your topic related to 5 Ways To Go Green, then use www.edu.glogster.com to create your glog.

You will be given log-in information for glogster, and design a glog to make a presentation of 5 actions you can do each day to “Go Green”. You will have time in class to work on it in school.  If you require more time, you can use the LMC after school or at lunch.  See the following page for the rubric. You will be graded on the information you provide, the design quality of your glog (how it’s organized), and your English Speaking Skills when you present the glog to the class.

Remember…all it takes to make a change is to choose to change and do something!

LET’S GO GREEN!

Things to include in Glog

1.      Explain what it means to “Go Green”

2.      Explain why we should “Go Green”

3.      5 actions you will take to “Go Green” with explanations.  Make sure to explain why you will do the action, how you will do it, and what it requires.

a.       An Example:  One action I will do to go green is buy locally grown food because it supports the local economy and it produces less pollution since the food does not have to travel far to get to my plate. This reduces the amount of carbon toxics from the cars, trucks, etc. used to transport the food; therefore creating less pollution.

4.      Provide images and/or charts for each of the 5 actions you will present.

5.      Provide resources to learn more about your actions of going green.  You can use web links, YouTube links, etc.

The 5 Ways to Go Green Glog should be visually appealing and completely address your topic.  Below is a suggestion of what your glog may use to support your topic.
